The effect of the Sand Play Therapy for young children who have symptoms, the depression, anxiety, and the withdrawal behavior

Abstract
This study presented that I practiced the sand play therapy to reduce the young children¡¯s unadaptable behavior whose young children have symptoms, the depression, anxiety, and the withdrawal behavior, analyzed the effects. I practiced that the sand play therapy was checked up to each three young children individually, twice a week in 40 minutes in the total 15 times. I qualitatively analyzed K-CBCL(Korean Child Behavior Checklist), self-concepts, the ordinary stress, the coping way of the ordinary stress by measuring them on prior and post to look into changes in the young children¡¯s behavior. I gave an account of analyzing the course of young children¡¯s changes in the sand-box and compared verbal expressions, making questions, suggestions, instructions by measuring them on a term. With regard to study results, The first the experimental group, young children¡¯s changes of the depression, anxiety, and the withdrawal behavior was reduced, but the controlled group was increased. The second, in a case of self-concepts, after the sand play therapy, the concept of themselves was improved. The third, in changes on the common stress after the post-examination was decreased, in addition, the coping way of the stress was changed the active coping. The fourth, in changes of young children¡¯s social behavior, expressions of instructions are increased. This study shows the way of the remedy for young children who have symptoms, the depression, anxiety, the withdrawal behavior and have an chance to confirm the effects of the sand play therapy which can unite oneself by exposing the restrained emotion.
